    Description
    Duties * Know the purpose ad content, military personnel, automated personnel system, i.e., Reserve Data Management.

    * Initiate or respond to requests for factual data or documents relating to military personnel files, status, or transactions, or to inquiries regarding regulatory requirements.

    * Review transactions, utilizing resources and guidelines to complete or process documents and reports, or to determine their sufficiency, accuracy, and completeness.

    * Compile reports and other records for action or for information purposes. * Apply a variety of legislative, regulatory, and procedural requirements applicable to reserve personnel actions and activities.

    Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

    * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. * Position requires completion of one (1) year probationary period unless the requirement has been previously met. * This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors.

    Specialized Experience:
    One year of specialized experience which includes performing actions in retirement, retirement point accounting, transition, and separation.

    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-06).

    You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

    Grade Requirement:

    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).

    Education Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

    Additional information * Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
