    DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS - Metal Extrusion
    Our client is seeking a Director of Operations for their metal extrusion plant located in the greater Lafayette, IN area. This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to tackle their next challenge with promising career growth prospects.

    KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 5+ years of experience overseeing operations in a manufacturing setting
    • 5+ years of expertise in Aluminum Extrusion
    • Essential technical and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork
    • Demonstrated experience in building and leading highly productive teams, which includes coaching and mentoring initiatives
    • Proficiency in Lean manufacturing practices, encompassing the planning and leadership of Kaizens, TPM, and Safety events within the department
    • Requirement to be a U.S. Citizen or possess a green card with residency in the U.S.
    • Financial acumen

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Accountable for the efficient functioning of the extrusion department, focusing on producing aluminum and aluminum/lithium alloy ingots at optimal costs while meeting quality and delivery commitments
    • Main emphasis on nurturing and motivating a team to efficiently pursue goals related to Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery
    • Responsibility for EH&S outcomes, productivity enhancements, employee growth, leveraging diversity, and ensuring customer deliveries align with the company's Lean Manufacturing Systems principles (incorporating Daily Management, TPM, 5S, etc.) for the department
    • Consistent enforcement of policies and systems to ensure customer expectations (both internal and external) are consistently met cost-effectively and always with safety as the utmost priority
    • Execution of financial objectives and targets set for each fiscal year
    • Planning and occasional leadership of Kaizens, TPM, and safety events within the department
    • Complete managerial oversight for all production and maintenance personnel, including supervisors, technicians, engineers, and operators
