Job Title:

Recreation and Gaming ManagerAs a valued member of the Purdue Memorial Union (PMU) Team, the Manager of Recreation and Gaming serves a critical role in the operations of the Rack and Roll and E-Gaming Studio.

By leading a student team that is focused on maintaining the high standards of the PMU, this position plays an important role in fulfilling the operational goals of the organization.

In addition to overseeing a group of 20+ student staff (hiring, training, and development), this position will provide facility and operational coverage of the areas in our bowling, recreation and e-gaming space.

In conjunction with the Assistant Director and Director of Operations, this position will help in revising and/or creating standard operating procedures and programs for our team to create business continuity.

They will work closely with other student employment managers to create a consistent and collaborative work environment. Furthermore this position is expected to become a mechanical specialist on the bowling lane equipment and pro shop operations. Hours will be Monday

  • Friday 8:30am5:00pm with additional weekend and evening duties as needed.

What We're Looking For:


  • Education and

Experience Needed:
_

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Two (2+) years of experience in bowling center or/and ESports/Gaming management or related field
  • Skills Needed:_
  • Bowling Pro Shop Services
  • Thorough knowledge of ESports and competitive gaming, specifically collegiate
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills including outstanding customer service experience
  • Ability to:
- work independently and as part of a team
- supervise student employees
- service Qubica AMF 82-70 XLi Edge machines and Kegel Kustodian Ion lane machine or related equipment
- handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure
