Job Title:

Parking Operations AdministratorThe Parking Operations Administrator reports to the Assistant Director, Parking, and is responsible for the oversight and recruitment of parking staff for all athletic and special events.

This position will work closely with student groups and Tippecanoe County community to recruit and hire parking staff. This position will coordinate with campus partners to ensure all parking staff needs are met for special events.

Attend to a variety of office administrative details such as coordinating contractor parking needs, assist with internal and external billing, and attend campus planning meetings.

Respond to after-hours requests from special events regarding parking concerns.

In this position you will have the opportunity to work with hundreds of different student groups, temp. hires, and student employees. Our department is continuing to evolve and embrace new changes with the addition of new technologies.

  • Weekend and evening work will be required depending on the special event schedule. Subject to 24hour call back._

Experience Needed:
_

  • Bachelor's degree in Administration, Leadership or closely related field required
  • Two (2) years of relevant leadership work experience in an operational environment to include either or a combination of military, enforcement, customer service or closely related field required
  • An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will also be considered such as a high school diploma and six years of relevant leadership work experience in an operational environment to include either or a combination of military, enforcement, customer service or another related field
  • Skills Needed:_
  • Must maintain a safe driving record
  • Must possess a learning orientation to changing technology
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of employee supervision, including selection, training, work evaluation and discipline
  • Knowledge of safe work methods and regulations pertaining to the work including driving habits; and basic geographical layout of the campus
  • Ability to:
- interact tactfully and effectively with those encountered in the course of the work, including hostile and irate customers and coworkers
- maintain records and prepare clear and concise instructions, procedures and reports
- use independent judgement within established guidelines
- use, maintain, troubleshoot and correct computer equipment
- use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- lift and carry 10 to 25 lbs. frequently, and up to 40 lbs. occasionally work outdoors in all seasons in temperatures below 32 degrees and above 90 degrees
