    SmartSource is seeking a Mid-Senior Freight Sales Executive for a Direct Hire position that is hybrid (onsite to start and get to know the team).


    Overview:


    Our client is seeking a highly motivated and competitive Domestic Air & Ground Expedite Account Executive to join our dynamic sales team.

    This role is designed for a driven professional with a proven book of business and expertise in domestic air and ground shipping solutions.

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new business, managing client relationships, and expanding our footprint in the expedited logistics market.

    Utilizing CRM tools like HubSpot, the Account Executive will document all customer interactions and sales activities, ensuring data-driven strategies and transparent communications.


    Responsibilities:


    Actively pursue new sales opportunities and cultivate relationships with potential clients to build a robust pipeline of business within the domestic air and ground expedite sector.

    Manage and grow an existing book of business while also identifying and securing new clients and expanding sales within existing accounts.

    Utilize HubSpot CRM to record all sales activities, client interactions, and opportunities, ensuring accurate tracking and analysis of sales efforts.

    Develop and present customized shipping solutions to meet the specific needs of clients, emphasizing speed, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
    Negotiate contracts and close agreements, maintaining thorough knowledge of market trends and competitor activities.
    Provide exceptional follow-up and customer service to ensure client satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
    Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and develop new business leads.
    Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure that client commitments are delivered on-time and to specifications.
    Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall profitability and growth of the company.


    Qualifications:
    5+ years of experience in sales, specifically in domestic air and ground logistics.
    Proven track record of generating new business and managing a customer portfolio.
    Experience with CRM systems,

    specifically HubSpot , to manage sales processes and customer engagements.
    Strong interpersonal skills with a competitive and outgoing personality.
    Solid communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    Willingness to travel as required to meet business needs.

    Things to keep in mind that will be asked during recruiter screening:
    How many customers do you currently have?
    What revenue have you brought in within the last 12 months?
    What GP (or profit) have you brought in within the last 12 months?
    What is your normal GP%?
    Do you currently have an NDA/Non-compete in place? If so, what challenges do you see with it?


    Location:


    There is a strong chance that this role can eventually move into a hybrid model, however for at least the first month this will be a 100% on-site position at either St.

    Charles, Illinois or Chicago, Illinois location depending on candidates location.


    Salary:
    $65,000-$75,000/year +uncapped commission (Commission is paid on profit, 20-30%)
    Full benefits provided after 90 days


    Schedule:
    7:00 am – 4:00 pm CST Or 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST – flexible (will be determined during offer extension/acceptance)
