    Position Summary:


    The Engineering Technical Support Coordinator position for Machine Products Engineering (MPE) is responsible for all administrative activity within the Engineering disciplines.

    Areas of focus may include mechanical, controls, or software, with the expectation that all disciplines will be aligned and supported by the administrative staff.


    Job Responsibilities:
    Create, update, and manage part numbers and bills of material in SAP.

    Configuration management and support of the variant configuration connection to engineering bills of material.

    Facilitate daily Change Control Board meetings to verify changes for accuracy and completeness.

    Process engineering change orders, including stakeholder evaluation and follow up.


    Coordinate implementation of engineering changes into manufacturing, including processing of inventory transactions and follow-ups with Supply Chain, to ensure that materials are not stranded.

    Coordinate engineering changes initiated by other Gleason plants.

    Create and manage group process model and work instructions.

    Other tasks as required.


    Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
    Effective communication, both verbal and written

    Excellent attention to detail is a must.


    Ability to work well and partner with people from all levels of the organization, from different disciplines and varying degrees of technical and business expertise.

    Work collaboratively within a team environment.

    Strong problem-solving skills with ability to research and resolve technical or complex problems.

    Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and deliver results.


    Business System Skills:

    Material Master:
    Create and maintain material masters for purchased and manufactured components, research and extend parts to new plants.

    Bill of material creation, maintenance:

    create bills of material from scratch or by cloning with proper effectivity including Engineered-To-Order specials, bill of material comparison to build clones, research bills of material by effectivity.


    Sales order bill of material:
    initiate a sales order bill of material change with proper effectivity.

    Inventory management or Production Control experience is a plus.


    Education/Training/Experience:
    Associate degree in technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

    Bachelor's degree in technical field desired.

    5+ years of relevant experience.

    Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    ERP software experience, SAP preferred.
