- Plans the layout of warehouse and other storage areas considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored; maintains physical conditions of the warehouse and related equipment
- Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventories current
- Advises and directs employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems
- Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock
- Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, including cycle counts, aging reports, on time delivery, shipping schedules, etc.
- Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records, and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies
- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow
- Issues written and oral instructions
- Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures
- Manages and drives improvements in customer service order entry processes, freight and billing processes, and logistics coordination
- Assures safety compliance with all applicable regulations and plant protection activities
- Standardizes & ensures compliance of Hershey's Salty Snacks policies
- Oversees metrics & handles escalations
- Proven ability to manage, direct, and foster a team-oriented environment
- Proficient with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) operations and development
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Demonstrate leadership & decision-making abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred
- 5-7 years of warehouse/shipping experience, including supervision of employees
- 3-5 years knowledge of warehousing and inventory movement processes and controls
- Management experience preferred
- S4 HANA Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) experience is preferred
- 2 + years of experience in the Food and Beverage industry is preferred
- VisiTrak experience is preferred
