The operational division is the heart of Amazon in Dedham.

This essential part of our company ensures that we efficiently ship orders so that our customers receive their items on time.

As an Area Manager, you will ensure that all processes at your location run as smoothly as possible to meet customer demand.

You will lead a team responsible for the safety, efficiency, and high-quality of our operations. Additionally, you will manage a variety of projects across our network to promote productivity.

Key job responsibilities:

Create, supervise, and promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
Analyze and implement changes to continuously ensure high quality and productivity through projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and improve service quality for customers in your area of responsibility
Analyze shifts according to company guidelines and implement measures to improve our operational excellence
Collaborate with colleagues at the leadership level to standardize shift procedures

A day in the life:
You will work in shifts at one of our locations, ensuring that operations are as productive as possible.

Your main focus will be leading and promoting a culture of safety, maintaining quality and performance standards for work shifts.

You will also oversee process improvements in your area and organize their implementation.

A typical workday can vary and includes routine team management and daily operational tasks, as well as process improvement and extensive operational tasks for contingency situations.

You will also act as a role model and mentor for new managers.
