    Job Description:

The Associate Technical Project Manager serves as the primary Supply Chain point of contact and collaborates with Internal and External Stakeholders to determine and implement the best process and system solutions that deliver a positive return on investment. This role Leads projects that primarily support Tech Ops Supply Chain Management to solve immediate and long-term challenges. The Associate Technical Project Manager is a detail-oriented thinker, who is ready to drive the future of Southwest's Supply Chain Management.

This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week.     Responsibilities
    • Schedule and support the tasks of the highly interdependent deliverables, resources, projects, and initiatives
    • Identify the projects and/or programs critical path and plan and measure the project goals and objectives
    • Work with various Cross functional departments through developing strong partnerships and provide, when necessary, assistance in project management to move initiatives forward
    • Define and use project management techniques when engaged in projects/programs
    • Offer proficiency and expertise to others and shares knowledge and insight into projects, programs, and systems
    • Maintain a repository for Department-level projects and knowledge management
    • Partner with resource managers, Business Partners, and vendors to assemble a project Team and provide ongoing motivation to drive projects to completion
    • Provide up-to-date information on the project status to ensure all reports are current and correct for all stakeholders to review, to include Senior Leadership
    • Ensure measurable KPIs are developed for the program, and that they align to the Department's overall KPI's
    • Build trust and influences without authority cross-functionally and across diverse teams
    • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Basic understanding of supply chain management principles.
    • Skilled in both verbal and written communication with the ability to articulate views concisely and convincingly to the project team.
    • Ability to develop presentations with the ability to present project updates and status for project team and management.
    • Ability to work with people within area of responsibility and build network outside area of responsibility
    • Ability to see possible complexity and gathering input from stakeholders to reduce or eliminate it
    • Basic understanding of business and management principles involved in tactical planning and coordination of people and resources.
    • Ability to lead, manage, and direct resources with no formal or written authority.
    • Ability to manage projects and execute tasks as directed to meet Department objectives while seeking guidance as needed to resolve issues/questions
    • Ability to capture stakeholders concerns on strengths and weaknesses of proposed solutions
    • Ability to use available resources about a given topic or situation to assist with developing creative ways to solve a problem
    Education
    • Required: High School Diploma or GED
    Experience
    • Intermediate level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in:
      • Supply chain management/lifecycle
      • Project management
      • Process improvement
      • Aviation or aerospace
    • Familiarity and or the ability to quickly assimilate operational knowledge of various technologies (e.g. SAP ERP, Maintenix, Aeroxchange, QuickBase database management, Alteryx, Tableau, Salesforce)
    Licensing/Certification
    • Required: SIDA badge and meet all local airport requirements
    Physical Abilities
    • Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
    • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
    • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
    Other Qualifications
    • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
    • Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information.
    • Day shift with the ability to work other shifts as needed with little to short notice in support of strategic activities or critical problem solving.
    • Travel typically 10% or less, but with flexibility as needed to support strategic activities or critical problem solving

    Pay & Benefits:
    Competitive market salary from $76,500.00 per year to $85,000.00 per year* depending on qualifications and experience**. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
