- Manage all general accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting processes, including monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Supervise the daily work and closing tasks of the accounting team, provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development as needed
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Coordinate and assist with audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
- Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) credential preferred
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial close processes as well as internal control & SOX compliance experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a desire to take on new projects, problem-solve, and drive process improvement in responsible areas to ensure processes and systems are efficient and effective.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

- Must reside in the Triangle area and be willing to go into the office a few days a week on a hybrid schedule
