- Responsible for general ledger activities, cash receipts, disbursements, reconciliations, financial statement preparation and tax reporting.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts with supporting schedules on a monthly basis.
- Journal entry preparation to include, but not limited to, depreciation, amortization, payroll, accruals, prepaid amortization, inventory relief, adjusting, correcting, year-end closing.
- Perform month-end analytical reviews of Income Statements and Balance sheet.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Review financial documents and materials and assist in preparing the fiscal budget, assignment of accounting codes, and various other related financial activities.
- Coordinate activities with auditors and release the appropriate records and information.
- Prepare special projects/reports as assigned by Controller.
- Minimum three to five years of related accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
- Proactive and ability to communicate with parent company and outside auditors.
- CPA license is preferred.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including familiarity with complex formulas is preferred.
- Proficiency with computerized general ledger systems.
- Strong experience in month-end closures required.
- Demonstrated experience with general ledger work through financial statement preparation required.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals.
