    Description

    Job: Staff Accountant

    Pay: $28-34/hr

    Location: Sacramento, CA

    Schedule: M-F, Business Hours / Flexible Schedule

    Full-Time with great benefits

    PrideStaff Financial is searching for a Staff Accountant to join a steadily growing organization in the Sacramento area This role would focus on general ledger, financial reporting, and AR/AP accounting functions. It is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and advancement

    Responsibilities:

    • Process business activity through the general ledger to the financial statements on cash and accrual basis.
    • Prepare bank reconciliations for all cash accounts, create journal entries, and maintain prepaid accrual schedules.
    • Produce timely and accurate monthly financial reports
    • Review and approve all accounts payable, payment disbursements
    • Reconcile general ledger accounts with supporting schedules monthly.
    • Timely preparation of monthly standard reporting packages and response to managers and clients inquiries.
    • Assist with annual budgets, prepare audit packages, and provide lender reports as required.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Accounting or Finance preferred but not required.
    • Experience in general ledger
    • Strong work ethic
    • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Google Apps (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets)
    • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
