    Director, System Design Engineer - SunPower

    Summary of Role:
    - Lead the Design Engineering team for SunPower's residential installation business.
    - Ensure delivery of high-quality solar designs that meet local AHJ requirements and exceed customer expectations.
    - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold SunPower's commitment to quality and exceptional customer service.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
    - Oversee the end-to-end design process, from proposal to installation.
    - Develop a roadmap for the evolution of the Design and Engineering organization.
    - Establish service level agreements to ensure customer satisfaction.
    - Manage a team of designers, setting and maintaining performance standards.
    - Implement continuous improvement initiatives and digital enhancements.
    - Collaborate with product engineering for innovation.
    - Develop revenue-generating design services for external customers.
    - Drive cost efficiency and accountability in design processes.
    - Ensure compliance with industry best practices and standards.
    - Mentor and develop team members for success.

    Required Qualifications:
    - Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of related experience.
    - Strong leadership and management skills.
    - Proficiency in industry codes and standards.
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    - Ability to manage budgets and drive results.
    - Experience in solar engineering.
    - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    - Ability to analyze industry trends and environment.
    - Proactive problem-solving skills.
    - Strong supervisory and project management experience.
    - Familiarity with construction and electrical codes.
    - Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
    - Experience in influencing and building cross-functional relationships.
    - Post-graduate work is desirable.
