    What is the role?

    dotCMS is a cloud-based Digital Experience platform changing how enterprises do digital. We seek an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Sales Director to join our dynamic team.

    As the Director of Sales, you will play a key role in driving sales growth by building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers, understanding customer needs, and positioning dotCMS solutions to meet those needs. This role will primarily focus on new business development.

    We're proud to be 100% remote dotCMS has been fully remote for over a decade, and as an employee, you may work remotely from any location compatible with standard U.S. business hours. Please note this is a full-time employee position, and we cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time. Additionally, we are not accepting contractors or C2C candidates.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to meet revenue targets and foster business growth.
    • Identify and prioritize target accounts, crafting account plans and sales strategies to penetrate new markets.
    • Nurture enduring relationships with C-level executives and key stakeholders.
    • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure alignment and support for enterprise sales initiatives.
    • Leverage the expertise of sales engineers in pre-sales activities.
    • Deliver engaging product demonstrations and presentations highlighting dotCMS solutions and value propositions.
    • Craft persuasive sales proposals and adeptly negotiate contracts to secure deals.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to capitalize on growth opportunities.

    Why do we get excited about you?

    • 3 to 5 years of experience in Digital Experience Platforms (DXP) or Content Management Systems (CMS), MarTech, or Enterprise Web Technology fields is strongly preferred.
    • A minimum of 5 years of quota-carrying software sales or technology sales is required.
    • Proven track record of:
      • Exceeding sales targets in consultative/solution-selling environments.
      • Selling to enterprises and understanding enterprise sales processes, including account planning, opportunity management, and contract negotiations.
      • Performing in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
      • Collaborating with Sales Engineering teams.
    • Experience with account analysis methodologies such as MEDDIC is preferred.
    • A self-starter who is naturally curious and highly coachable.
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
