- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of relevant work experience or internships related to sales or customer service
- Experience working in a CRM software or other sales tools
- Ambition to act autonomously to manage your prospects and pipeline contribution

- Ability to develop and grow client relationships
- Experience using Salesforce for managing customers
- Experience working in a fast paced and collaborative environment
- Experience working and tracking your own performance against assigned key objectives
- Support our IP Sales teams with developing interest and new sales opportunities based on assigned customer base or territory
- Generate leads with our customers based on strategically assigned product portfolio
- Follow up with prospects via email and outbound calls to create a sales opportunity for the sales team
- Create follow-up appointments for the commercial team to advance the customer to the next step in the sales process
- Work closely with the marketing, commercial, and customer support team to ensure a positive customer experience
- Using a proactive and persistent approach, explain the assigned Clarivate product offering to prospects and customers
- Accurately maintain and develop prospect and client data into Salesforce CRM
- Support the development, testing, and maintenance of the marketing database and the data/workflow integration with the Salesforce CRM platform
- Full time, permanent position
- This is a hybrid position working 2-3 days a week in the EST time zone in the Clarivate Alexandria, VA office
- This is a global team and may require meetings outside of regular business hours as needed to accommodate the time zone differences
- Flexibility to work in any time zones in the Americas region, depending on the assigned territory or customer base

What will you be doing in this role?
About the Team
The Sales Development Team collaborates closely with internal teams and external customers. Partly, the team works in an inbounds capacity (Sales Development Representatives) managing inbound leads, as well as in an outbound capacity (Business Development Specialist) developing new leads within their assigned territory and product portfolio.
~70% of your time will be spent working autonomously on your assigned customer-base and ~30% will be spent working collaboratively with the IP Sales Team to hand-over relevant opportunity and track your contribution to the global sales pipeline.
