Description

An Insight Global client is looking for an Operations Manager that will be responsible for the overall "day-to-day" management of the receiving and distribution operations of a warehouse facility in Richmond VA.

This position plays a critical role in providing quality service to customers, encouraging team morale and performance, while maintaining a positive culture within the location.

This position has various responsibilities of overseeing the receipt, sortation, and outbound transportation for the distribution of retail related equipment and other miscellaneous goods.

Understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies

Understanding of WMS (Warehouse Management System)

2-4 years of Warehouse Inventory and management experience and a bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management; or an equivalent combination of education and warehouse management experience.
Experience with multiple transportation modes (full truck load, less than truck load, parcel, and expedite)
Experience managing performance on safe transportation, distribution, and maintenance operations
Experience setting up warehouse layouts and ensure efficient space utilization

Experience leading a team up to 10 warehouse associates
