Regional Operations Manager
This position reports directly to the Operations Director assigned to the area.


The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that all traffic control services provided to the client, is reliable and on-time, trained and safe to ensure a well-organized operation.


The position will oversee operations in all assigned offices in the region including Traffic Controllers, Team Leaders, Schedulers, Office Personal and Operations Managers.

The Regional Operations Manager will be expected meet with existing clients as well as bring in new clients to the region, expanding its growth.


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for monitoring all assigned offices within the region.
  • Responsible for hiring, approving terminations, and terminating employees
  • Have a general knowledge of the job's underneath of you
  • Complete written reports as required on vehicular deficiencies, accidents, incidents, complaints, and other issues as may be required from time to time.
  • Expected to know routes, schedules, DOT regulations, CHP compliance, ADA guidelines, conduct regular safety meetings, and maintain high morale and foster teamwork.
  • Responsible for assisting your team as required, i.e. complaint issues, accidents and/or injuries, schedule drivers etc.
  • Oversee all accidents with proper investigation and report them to Human Resources, Fleet Manager, and Safety Director, as required, in a timely fashion
  • Responsible for ensuring all vehicles are kept clean and in good condition at all times with your Team Leaders involvement.
  • Knows and follows the safety and health rules and safe working practices applicable to Traffic Control.
  • Proactive, well organized and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Must maintain equal presents in all assigned offices in the region and visit on a regular basis
  • Review minutes of weekly meetings, Field Supervisor meetings, and Monthly Safety meetings
  • Review reports from operations managers
  • Conduct weekly meetings with operations manager
  • Time spent working will be 50% in the office, 25% in the field, and 25% with client relations
  • Responsible in overseeing that all clients are satisfied with our work
  • Must maintain contact with clients insuring that all jobs are safe and responded to in a timely fashion
  • Review opportunities and develop strategic plan to acquire new business
  • Help facilitate relationships with offices and New Business Development Specialist
  • Work with account managers for improvement existing client relations
  • Review and approve all purchases made in all assigned offices
  • Purchase/order all field equipment for your offices
  • Maintain and estimate your offices need for vehicles and communicate with supervisor
  • Contribute with weekly and biweekly conference calls with upper management
  • Be able to generate Daily Reports in various formats
  • Must be able to respond (as required) to emergency call outs.
  • Must be able to work various shifts (day, evening, nights, weekends) as required.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Certifications:


  • Complete ATSSA, TCT, TCS, and Defensive Driver classes within 6 months of hire.
  • Complete monthly trainings distributed from corporate

Requirements:


  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in "transportation service".
  • College degree preferred, will consider a mix of education, prior experience and military training in lieu of college degree.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to pass a Drug Test
  • Must be able to work various shifts (day, evening, nights, weekends) as required.
  • Requires computer literacy with Microsoft office
  • Prior experience for leading, managing and supervising a team (required).
