    What You Will Do :
    We are currently searching for a

    Grants Management Specialists

    to

    provide

    support services to satisfy the overall

    o

    perational objectives of

    the National Institute of General Medical Sciences

    (NIGMS)

    .

    The primary

    objective

    is to

    p

    rovide services and deliverables through

    performance

    of

    support services

    .

    This is a full-time,

    remote opportunity

    b

    ased out of an NIH office

    in

    Bethesda,


    MD
    .
    Work with staff on pre- and post-award activities, including the preparation of grant awards.

    Prepare budgets for award in spreadsheet workbook, analyzing requested amounts based on allowability, allocability and

    reasonableness.

    Initiate correspondence to grantee institutions

    regarding

    grant-related questions and problems, clarification of policy and procedures, or requests for

    additional

    information.

    Communicate with

    appropriate Program

    Officer and Grantee Sponsored Research Administrator

    when questions arise.

    Provide advice,

    a

    ssist

    staff interpret and prepare guidance interpretation and guidance on statutes, regulations,

    policies, and procedures as they related to the award grant program in general and as

    related to individual awards.

    P

    rovide administrative support for the Grants Management Branch

    by

    a

    ssist

    ing

    staff to manage

    ,

    coordinate

    ,

    develop and

    maintain

    the

    annual grant

    portfolio

    .

    Assist

    in analyzing and preparing reports to track status of awards and funding.

    Develop procedures for the grant review and approval process.

    Pull and analyze data from existing systems to

    monitor

    grant workloads.

    Keep abreast of current and new NIH policies and procedures affecting the smooth operation of the Division of Extramural Activities (DEA)

    What You Will Need :
    B

    achelor's

    Degree

    At least 2

    years of

    grant-related

    experience

    .

    Strong communication

    skills, both oral and written.

    Excellent

    analytical, organizational and time management skills

    .

    MS Office

    What Would Be Nice To Have :
    Preferred areas of study

    are

    bus

    and administration, general business, or related

    disciplines.
    NIH experience a plus
