One Federal Solution seeks a talented, motivated, and passionate Office Management Specialist to support our federal client in downtown Washington, DC.
The Office Management Specialist provides administrative support to one of its three offices within a large complex agency.The Office Management Specialist will be responsible completing the following tasks and duties:
Task/Duties:
- Be proactive/self starting regarding the needs of the office and staff to ensure the effective running of the office;
- Serve as time and attendance coordinator for direct hire government staff (ranging from five to 85, depending on work unit);
- Ensure compliance with appropriate policies and regulations, documentation of leave and payroll guidelines for auditing purposes;
- Ability to accurately process Time and Attendance in the department's TATEL payroll system and assist with various payroll; issues (i.e., premium pay, leave, and Compensatory Time) and liaise with the payroll office to provide guidance to staff on complicated leave situations such as parental leave, FMLA, LWOP, etc.
- Provide guidance to staff regarding e2 travel system, making travel arrangements, seeking approvals, and completing travel vouchers appropriately;
- Draft and maintain officewide SOPs to include travel, supplies, etc.
- Be responsible for monitoring incoming and outgoing request to the General Services
- Division (GSD) by using GSD Tracker to create new requests and monitor the status of existing requests;
- Multitask by managing multiple competing priorities appropriately, seeking guidance when necessary
- Coordinate onboarding for new staff with sponsor team and MSU, provide relevant checklists and ordering government furnished equipment; to include but not limited to government issued cellphones, laptops (EMDs), submitting building access and suite requests;
- Coordinate close out checklists for departing staff, to include managing or supporting the employee, for the return of government equipment and ensuring badge access is deactivated;
- Serve as Consular task force case worker as requested;
- Provide notification to MSU when an employee is assigned a cubicle, and is issued equipment or when the employee departs and equipment is returned;
- Perform other appropriate tasks, assignments and duties as required and assigned by their immediate Government manager.
- Escort people as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- HS Diploma and two (2) years of experience serving in a similar capacity.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Suite of Office Products (i.e., Word, Power Point, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook
- Ability to type mistakefree final forms (letters, memorandums, cables, speeches, briefing papers, etc.), many of them destined for CA upper management, the White House, and/or Members of Congress;
- Ability to adapt and conform to the changing needs of the office and/or directorate;
- Ability to work on a team and work independently;
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Pay:
$ $28.00 per hour

Education:
