Description
Our Heavy Equipment & Mining Equipment Dealership Group currently has an opening for a Territory Manager. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers in the assigned territory.The Territory Manager represents the Company Dealership product line, providing information on products, prices, availability, product uses and credit terms.
This position functions as the first point of contact for the customer and therefore must stay current on all products and technology in order to sell equipment, provide demonstrations, and help develop state of the art solutions for customers.
Responsibilities:
Maintains customer records and tracks opportunities in sales link, to include sales leads, sales and lost salesPrepares accurate and timely quotes for customers on new and used equipmentTracks and maintains availability listings for equipmentPrepares sales contracts for obtained orders and submits those orders for processingDevelops a territory coverage plan including budget, competitive analysis and forecastingManages customer equipment issues and questions by researching and providing customers with recommendationsCollaborates with various departments and groups during the sales process, encouraging team sellingEvaluates sales deals from a comprehensive dealership perspectiveWorks closely with CSRs and Branch personnel to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issuesMeets and responds to the needs of assigned customers in a professional and timely mannerMaintains a proficient level of mechanical aptitude and understanding of products and servicesPrepares customer quotes for the rent, lease or sale of a machine for the sale of a machineIdentifies prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferencesAnswers customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit termsEmphasizes product features based on analyses of customers' needs, and on technical knowledge of product capabilitiesCompletes machine inspections and documents potential issuesResolves customer issues both within and out of the direct sales processWorks in a cooperative manner with team and superiorsQualifications:High School diploma or GED required; 4-year degree in business or construction-related field preferred2+ years of successful sales experience selling heavy equipment or working with related equipment requiredStrong mechanical aptitudeExcellent communication skills - written and verbalPersonal characteristics: self-motivated, committed/dependable, conflict management, customer focus, sociable, team playerClean driving recordTravel:Up to 10% travel Minimum Physical Requirements:
