    Our Mining & Heavy Equipment Dealership Group has a full-time, Mining Technology Support Specialist opening. This position will provide technical support to mining customers, field service technicians, and sales staff primarily focused on the CAT MineStar suite of technology solutions. The technical support position will help internal and external customers maximize uptime for both field equipment and office applications by proactively providing training and support as well as resolving issues as they arise.
    Responsibilities:

    • Represent the Company's technology products as they are sold to the Mining market, specifically the full suite of CAT MineStar solutions
    • Resolve customer support cases in a timely manner via telephone calls, job site visits, office calls, etc.
    • Work with Company field technicians to improve repair processes and to communicate troubleshooting standards
    • Work with product managers to improve current product offering
    • Develop and deliver classroom and on-the-job training material to support the Company Technician development including efficient install and troubleshooting procedures
    • Develop and deliver customer training material for both MineStar office applications and field equipment
    • Coordinate and communicate with technical team to complete component support initiatives, identify warranty issues, facilitate product repairs and address other administrative tasks as required
    • Communicate with manufacturers to identify common failure causes and receive information related to product life
    • At times climb onto equipment in the field to demonstrate the use of technology to customers
    Qualifications:
    • 4 year Bachelor's degree; Associate's degree plus related experience
    • Exceptional communication skills - ability to effectively present technical information and train new users
    • Technical understanding of computer networking and servers
    • Customer service oriented
    • Ability to learn heavy equipment operation for the purpose of demonstration and training
    • Knowledge of and experience with Mining equipment and technology is preferred
    • Experience with wireless network infrastructure and support also preferred
    Travel:

    Up to 25% travel is likely (primarily by automobile) for day trips within the dealer territory. Infrequent air travel is required to attend training sessions, mining equipment trade shows, or as otherwise required.

    • Lift bulky objects
    • Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing.
    • Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.
