Our Sales team at Wellness Pet is made up of professionals who understand the difference our products make in the lives of pets.
We are currently seeking an entrepreneurially-minded, early career professional who wants to learn and grow within a dynamic consumer products (CPG) company.
With the support of our sales management team, the ideal candidate will learn the ins and outs of selling, while managing Mid-Atlantic territory (eastern PA, NJ, DE, MD, Washington DC, VA, and WV).
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, East, the Territory Manager will be responsible for executing all sales fundamentals at the account and individual store level.
What You'll AccomplishCustomer development at the regional and local level
Category development
Key Performance Indicators include:
Assortment increases
New initiative sell-in
Budget targets per customer plans
Merchandising and pricing goals
Share of shelf increases
Creative business-driving solutions in-store
Develop relationships with in-store personnel
Manage pet specialty retailers in your assigned geographic area
Delivering results against set sales and placement quotas
Reporting on sales activities
Implementing national promotions and develop and execute store-level promotions
Selling in new products
Conducting product seminars, attending trade shows, and attending other events

This position is ideally suited for an individual who has excellent customer development skills, a strong analytical background, excellent verbal & written communication skills, and accountability for results.
Requirements include:
Home base ideally in eastern PA or NJ
A BS Degree
Strong interest in learning sales and a passion for pets
Ability to understand and develop the skills required for a data-based selling approach, as well as demonstrate the ability to learn how to analyze the business across key sales fundamentals of assortment, merchandising, pricing, and shelving, turn this analysis into sales plans, and execute these plans with excellence
Demonstrated experience using mobile phone apps to manage tasks, calendars, and other communications
Ability to travel approximately 80% of the time, including on weekends as required
Go-getter mentality: willing to go the extra mile for customers and seek out new business opportunities
Ability to self-direct, work independently, and be flexible
Proactive approach to solving problems
