We are looking for a Project Manager who works independently, supports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets for projects, facilitates project tasks with various functional organizations, forecast project revenues, tracks cost/progress, identifies project problems, and recommends solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesManagement of large portfolio of projects following project processes and where applicable provide direction to assisting field engineer techsUnderstand and complete projects per the contractual requirements as sold, within budget, on time, and with a high level of customer satisfactionResponsible for the overall financial performance of assigned projects including project planning, billing, revenue forecasting, A/R collection support, and re-estimating costs of installation projectsWork with sales team on job opportunity cost reviews and scope when requested when availableManage the delivery of the contracted scope and assist with change orders for the expansion of scopeCoordinate project materials and the use of shared resources; identify resource constraints and assist with corrective action plans to remedy any issuesManage relationships with sub-contractors, customer, identifying issues that may arise, take corrective action along with discuss with appropriate management on ways to remedy any issuesEssential Functions Financial:
Perform "actual vs.
estimated" analyses and identify variances, reasons for variances, and mitigation stepsMaintain budget or reduce cost, maintaining client satisfactionMaintain positive cash flow through approved SOV, follow up on billingsProject Scheduling:
Plan manpower and know when resources are required on the project.
Create a working schedule and proactively plan and protect our contractual timelinesSubcontractor Management:
Schedule continuous site visits to quality check our subcontractor.
Be able to provide installation and schedule directionDocument all installation/schedule issues with subcontractorCommunication and Documentation:
Provide necessary documentation and communication to all customer levels and sub-contractors and/or ensure that the appropriate members of the project team do so.
Professionally represent Carrier in meetings and always be proactive in defending the company's best interestKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Self-starter, able to organize and plan your work schedule.
Work well in a team environmentStrong problem solving, planning and project management skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skillsMicrosoft Office Suite:
Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, Access.
Leading small project teams 4-10 peopleReading and understanding specifications and scope of workGeneral knowledge of employment laws and practicesProject financial reportingPrior commercial experience in Mechanical construction, HVAC installs and systems and/or Building Automation Controls systems
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED5+ years' Commercial HVAC experience in the field on HVAC systems and installs and systems and/or Building Automations Controls industry.
Must be able to travel within the Virginia areaPreferred Qualifications:Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree5+ years' work experience in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Electronics, ITAdditional information:Valid Driver's License is requiredTraveling will be required up to 50% within the Virgina area#LI-OnsiteRSRCARCarrier is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
