Description

Local janitorial company is looking for a highly ambitious individual with a penchant for critical analysis to join our operations team in the capacity as a Project Manager.

As the Project Manager for our janitorial services contract, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution and delivery of cleaning and maintenance services for over thirty (30) municipal facilities throughout Newport News, VA.

This is a key role that requires strong project management, client relationship, and problem-solving skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, managing all aspects of the janitorial services contract
  • Develop and implement detailed project plans to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Coordinate and oversee the work of the janitorial staff, ensuring all tasks are completed to the client's satisfaction
  • Monitor service levels, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Manage the procurement and inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to the client and internal stakeholders
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, and develop contingency plans to address them
  • Collaborate with the client to understand their evolving needs and adjust the scope of services accordingly
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

Required Qualifications:


  • Minimum 35 years of experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role within the janitorial or facilities management industry
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute project plans, manage budgets, and track key performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and crossfunctional teams
  • Demonstrated problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities, with a focus on delivering highquality results
  • Familiarity with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements for janitorial services
  • Proficient in the use of project management software and other relevant tools
