    The San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) is on a mission to safeguard and enhance the well-being of all San Franciscans. To accomplish this, SFDPH operates through two primary Divisions - the San Francisco Health Network and Population Health.

    Role description:

    Reporting to upper management, the Food Service Manager Administrator oversees the food preparation and serving operations within a hospital environment. This role involves managing staff, designing menus, ensuring proper nutritional portions, supervising food storage and kitchen cleanliness, and other related responsibilities.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Supervising and coordinating food service personnel activities
    • Conducting performance evaluations and implementing disciplinary actions
    • Assisting in training programs and documentation
    • Developing departmental standards and procedures
    • Maintaining budget compliance and inventory levels
    • Ensuring sanitation and infection control measures
    • Inspecting food quality and work areas

    Minimum qualifications:

    Education: Associate's degree from an accredited institution

    Experience: Three years of supervisory experience in food service operations within the last five years

    Candidates must meet these requirements by the specified deadline.

    The Food Service Manager Administrator may be assigned additional duties as needed.
