General Summary

This role may involve leading a team or providing advanced technical support, including handling escalated incidents. The position requires delivering top-notch customer service, resolving requests promptly, and possibly working non-traditional hours.

Principal Responsibilities and Tasks

This position entails responding effectively to service requests, analyzing problems, and resolving or escalating issues. The role also involves mentoring staff, logging requests accurately, troubleshooting various IT issues, and collaborating with support teams.

Qualifications

III. Education and Experience

A high school diploma is mandatory, with additional certifications possibly required. Three years of Help Desk experience, including one year at UMMS, are necessary.

IV. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Applicants should possess a solid understanding of technology for system support, familiarity with Service Desk processes, and excellent communication and customer service skills. Proficiency in problem-solving, teamwork, and maintaining system security is crucial.
