- Organizes the operation and maintenance of warewashing equipment.
- Performs all warewashing, sanitation, and cleaning techniques to meet department standards.
- Verifies dishroom operation accuracy and follows all prescribed procedures, instructions and DHEC Food Safety Guidelines.
- Trains new staff on all dishroom duties.
- Provides required services in a pleasant, helpful, and positive manner to demonstrate good customer service.

Job Responsibilities
With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, within Inpatient Services, 7901 Farrow Rd, Columbia, SC 29203.
As the Food Service Specialist III (Dishroom Senior Lead), working under the Manager and/or Area Supervisors in leading assigned staff in operation of the Dishroom in compliance with department, local, state and federal guidelines.
Responsibilities as the Senior Lead include but are not limited to:

Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
Additional Comments
The selected candidate must be physically able to manually lift 40 lbs. Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time. Be able to bend, stoop, reach, pull, push, and climb stairs. May encounter temperatures ranging from 20 degrees F to 400 degrees around equipment This is an essential position during an emergency.
