    Maintenance Specialist III - Richland, United States - Amentum

    Amentum background
    Description
    The Maintenance job family is responsible for planning, scheduling, and organizing the efficient operation and performance of work assignments.

    Coordinates with various departments to achieve optimum utilization of maintenance resources and effectively achieve production improvements through usage of industry standard methodologies.


    Ensures that work scheduled to be completed has been coordinated with other organizations that have interface or impacts associated with that work.

    Continuous communication among Work Planning, Engineering, Scheduling, Construction and Procurement. This position provided direct support to activities related to schedule development and work prioritization.

    This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS


    • Maintain current training, certification and development requirements
    • Administrative, organizational and computer skills, including proficiency in MSOffice programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Primavera is desired
    • Support Shift Mangers and Work Week Managers in scheduling work activities in a manner that ensures project resources are efficiently allocated to support applicable phases of operations.
    • Interface with other organizations to provide updates for work schedules, priorities, and resource assignment.
    • Performs analysis of Work Execution/Scheduling and develops reports, charts and graphs/metrics to accurately measure Work Execution performance.
    • Provide status and updates to the various project level schedules.
    • Maintain updates and status reporting on Maintenance Punchlist items.
    • Integrates efficient maintenance practices that follow company policies, client requirements, and governmental regulations.
    • Support development of crew mix and personnel assignments (Supply and Demand model)
    • Responsible for understanding plant business· processes as they pertain to Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Work Control
    • Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment

    REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS


    Education/Experience:
    Bachelor's degree business, engineering, construction management, economics and 6 years' experience in the area of expertise and/or combination of operations/maintenance and a demonstrated knowledge of DOE operating policies, rules and regulations, or knowledge of commercial nuclear facilities ( e.g. NRC/INPO) regulations and requirements, and knowledge of industry codes and standards related to planning, scheduling, and organizing the safe and efficient use of maintenance resources, to meet work execution schedule requirements.

    OR

    Associates degree in business, engineering, construction management, economics and 8 years' experience in the area of expertise and/or combination of operations/maintenance and a demonstrated knowledge of DOE operations policies, rules and regulations, or knowledge of commercial nuclear facilities (e.g. NRC/INPO) regulations and requirements, and knowledge of industry codes and standards related to planning, scheduling, and organizing the safe and efficient use of maintenance resources, to meet work execution schedule requirements.

    OR

    High School Diploma/GED and 10 years' experience in the area of expertise and/or combination of operations/maintenance and a demonstrated knowledge of DOE operating policies, rules and regulations, or knowledge of commercial nuclear facilities ( e.g. NRC/INPO) regulations and requirements, and knowledge of industry codes and standards related to planning, scheduling, and organizing the safe and efficient use of maintenance resources, to meet work execution schedule requirements.


    Preferred:
    Maintenance experience in the DOE / ISMS / VPP / Commercial Nuclear environment. Engineering experience.


    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    (EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual- Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.

    COMPENSATION &


    BENEFITS

    HIRING SALARY RANGE:
    $99, $154,255.09 Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

    This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m.

    to 5 p.m.

    Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship

    Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site.
