    Description
    Our client is a stabilized, entrepreneurial owner/operator of primarily retail centers throughout Southern California.

    Responsibilities


    • Oversight of 1-2 property accountants
    • Maintain books and records by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions for multiple
    commercial properties in Appfolio


    • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
    • Record monthly adjusting and accrual entries
    • Update fixed asset system for additions and disposals and record monthly
    depreciation/amortization


    • Monitor cash balances and recommend capital calls and distributions from/to investors
    • Prepare and assist with budgets and CAM Reconciliations
    • Prepare monthly financial statement analysis with variance reporting (PM to assist
    with variance reporting)


    • Compile monthly financial statement package with required supporting documentation
    • Record tenant receipts against monthly charges
    • Record electronic payments and checks received
    • Process monthly tenant billings and other miscellaneous billbacks
    • Monitor tenant accounts for overages/shortages and past due amounts
    • Send monthly invoices/statements to tenants
    • Review payable invoices and general ledgers for accuracy
    • Manage weekly cash flow spreadsheet to determine which payables are to be paid
    • Prepare property financials in form to be presented to CPA's who will complete tax filings
    • Additional duties and tasks as assigned by management/Company
    Requirements

    • Bachelors Degree in Accounting required.
    • Property accounting experience.
    • Must be highly focused on details.
    • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment where continuous
    improvement is expected.

    • Experience with Appfolio preferred
