    Summary

    The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate experience effectively managing people, leading policy development efforts, and evaluating program effectiveness. The perspective candidate will also deliver excellent, executive-level products and innovative solutions that improve efficiency and accountability.

    Duties

    What will I do in this position if hired?

    In this position, you will analyze and evaluate on a quantitative/qualitative basis the effectiveness of line program operations in meeting established goals and objectives. Typical assignments include:

  • Establishing goals, objectives, and priorities with key stakeholder engagement to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of mission essential functions.
  • Providing recommendations to leadership related to long term planning efforts and implementation requirements for mission essential functions.
  • Identifying and developing ways to resolve issues that directly affect the accomplishment of strategic goals and objectives set forth by leadership.
  • Leading the Policy and Audit Liaison Branch to include making work assignments, adjusting workloads, and adapting or modifying procedures to alleviate backlogs or delays.

All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
