    Description

    Summary About the Position:
    Serves as Senior Operations Officer/Lead/Program Manager for complex and critical high resolution three-dimensional (HR3D) geospatial data collection/processing/dissemination program. Management will select at the GS-13 grade level.

    This recruitment provides promotion opportunity to the target grade of GS-14 position without further competition when selectee is eligible and recommended by management.

    Responsibilities Formulates and builds state-of-the-art deployment and fielding schedules to handle the collection and integration of imagery intelligence, geospatial data, tactical applications Interprets, considers and applies trends of transformative technological developments to address user requirements Initiates, forms, follows, and tracks a multitude of processes affiliated with the collection cycle for CONUS/OCONUS collections Maintains currency in the state-of-the-art of wide area high altitude airborne mapping industry developments through technical literature review, formal training, and professional interactions Leads study groups and/or steering committees to identify and implement recommendations to improve overall collection functions, operations, and performance.

    You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    One year of specialized experience with wide area high altitude airborne mapping requiring the analysis of spatial data 2) experience in flight operations, logistics, and resource management.3) high altitude airborne and terrestrial geospatial data collections missions This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

    Grade Requirement:

    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

    Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

    You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
