    Midas Hospitality is seeking a Accounts Payable Accountant to join our accounting team. This person will be responsible for accounts payable functions for Midas managed hotels.

    This includes insuring invoices are entered accurately and timely with Hospitality Standards as well as working with the Accounting team to provide detailed information for financial purposes.


    What You Will Be Doing:
    Review entered invoices for description, coding, vendor, etc.
    Process large volumes of transactions, approximately 2,500 invoices a month
    Post approved invoices
    Follow up with properties on missing invoices or any discrepancies
    Enter and code internal invoices
    Communicate with Managers and department heads regarding invoice and payment status
    Set up new vendors and obtain W-9s as needed
    1099 reporting and processing
    Communicate with vendors to obtain Invoices, statements, and updates on payments as needed
    Ability to work with General Managers and Accountants to reconcile payment statuses and identify missing invoices
    Process checks manually in an emergency situation
    Maintain complete and accurate files in order to handle vendor inquiries
    Travel to local properties may be required
    Assist Accounting team as needed
    Assist with general Accounts Payable inquiries
    Order Accounts Payable supplies such as check stock, MIRC toner, etc.
    Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time


    The Ideal Candidate:
    Associate degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent experience in the accounts payable process required
    2+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in the hospitality industry
