    We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team.

    About the Role:


    The Senior Accountant is responsible for daily and monthly activities associated with accounts payable and cash disbursement activities for the organization while ensuring compliance with GAAP and IRS rules.

    The Senior Accountant assists the accounting team with daily transactions, performs timely account reconciliation and analysis and manages the period end close process.

    Planning activities generally span a 30-day period and impact primarily on the accounting department.

    Responsibilities:
    Manages the month end close process for billing, recording revenue and cost of services, to ensuring adherence to deadlines.
    Manages client web portals and processes related to billing clients.
    Prepares monthly revenue and cost reports for Allant's internal revenue owners.

    Works with those revenue owners to ensure that all the proper documentation is in place to invoice the client and record the revenue and cost.

    Maintains reports for vendor files, recording the services utilized and the corresponding record volumes for monthly reporting.
    Monitors monthly vendor minimum obligations and ensures accuracy in reporting.
    Gathers billing information, verifies pricing and billing information, and prepares invoices in accordance with the terms of client contracts. This role is assigned client billings with more complex pricing and cost structures than a traditional billing.
    Enters invoice information into the accounting system, verifies against billing paperwork, and matches client invoices with vendor invoices.
    Balances accrued vendor payables and other balance sheet accounts monthly, making necessary adjusting journal entries for reconciliation.
    Reconciles email vendor invoices to accrued amounts and vendor quantity reports, addressing variances with the billing team.
    Maintains third party fixed asset tracking system, reporting for monthly depreciation entries, depreciation projection reports and year-end tax reports.
    Act as backup for maintaining lease schedules and lease testing. Coordinates all efforts in getting leases signed.
    Assists other Sr. Accountants in closing and billing operational system projects in a timely manner.
    Reviews, approves and edits time codes in the system and supports the CFO with ad hoc requests and reports.
    Completes monthly general ledger account entries and reconciliations as assigned.

    Education/Experience:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. CPA designation is a plus.
    5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a proven track record of progressively increasing responsibility.
    Proficiency in accounting software, Sage Intacct, or similar systems.
    A solid understanding of GAAP and IRS regulations.
    Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
