    Description


    As a member of the Global Software & Informatics Marketing (SWIM) team reporting to the VP of Software Product Management, you will own a portfolio of cloud software portfolio that enables the generation, processing and aggregation of multi-omic data for use in discovery and clinical reporting.

    This includes the run planning and analysis platforms BaseSpace Sequence Hub and Illumina Connected Analytics, tertiary analysis software for discovery such as Correlation Engine and multi-omics analysis tools and the Illumina Connected Software platform infrastructure for enabling customers to manage their software accounts and subscriptions.


    In this influential role, you will work closely with Illumina's sales, marketing and product development leadership teams to create and execute a holistic cloud strategy that integrates data from the instruments into the Illumina Connected Software portfolio.

    Responsibilities

    Manage portfolio of software products, and corresponding team of Product Managers, encompassing data generation, aggregation and analysis
    Continuously socialize and maintain clear portfolio goals and success criteria for your team and other product and development teams to align around
    Identify and implement necessary processes and infrastructure needed to support management and communication of product strategy, pipelines and milestones.
    Build and manage a holistic view of how your portfolio enables the broader Illumina product ecosystem and drive a consistent framework for how those other products integrate with your portfolio
    Collaborate cross functionally to ensure strategic plans and objectives of Software are efficiently and consistently executed
    Support Illumina Connected Software thought-leadership and strategy around data, software e-commerce and Enterprise Informatics solutions and an end-to-end multi-product user experience

    Work with Product Marketing, Regional Marketing, Sales and Professional Services teams to prioritize target customers and deliver them with clear solutions and path to implementation that fits their needs.

    Work collaboratively with the field organization to ensure effective customer assessment, sales process and implementation.
    Build close relationships with key customers, thought leaders, industry influencers guide the portfolio strategy and focus areas
    Developed and manage strategy for 3rd party partnerships within your portfolio

    Requirements

    Bachelor's degree required; MBA and/or PhD strongly preferred
    Strong knowledge of genetics and genomics technologies and experience with genomics markets and informatics products
    At least 10 years of experience in product management, marketing, business development or other functional area
    Experience leading the execution of multiple successful product management SaaS product launches
    At least 5 years of experience building out and managing a highly technical and impactful product management team
    Strong analytical skills and ability to tie detailed analysis to larger strategy
    Demonstrated effective collaboration in matrixed or highly cross-functional business settings, especially with product development and commercial groups
    Demonstrated success in a customer facing role, ability to deliver compelling presentations and influence at all levels, both internally and externally
    Demonstrated ability to engage and influence scientists, corporate executives, and healthcare executives


    The estimated base salary range for the Associate Director, Product Management – Data Solutions role based in the United States of America is: $163,900 - $245,900.

    Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly.

    Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

    Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
