_Responsibilities:
_

Analyst for LSD 41 (Dock Landing Ship / Whidbey Island Class), LSD 49 (Dock Landing Ships / Harpers Ferry Class)
Analyst for ESB (Expeditionary Sea Base / Lewis B. Puller Class).

Both positions support Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E), C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence), Navigation, and Aviation Systems for Sustainment and Modernization Program Office (PMS 321) Unmanned, Small Combatants, and Amphibious Ships.

The positions will be expected to coordinate with various stakeholders across the Surface Warfare Enterprise (SYSCOMS, PEOs, Warfare Centers, TYCOMS, Fleets, and OPNAV) to support the life-cycle sustainment of select HM&E (LSD 41/49), C4I (ESB), Navigation (ESB) and Aviation (ESB) systems.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing System Sustainment Plans (SSP) for select HM&E (LSD 41/49), C4I (ESB), Navigation (ESB) and Aviation (ESB) systems.
  • Assist in developing POM Issue Papers for program planning and funding.
  • Develop and present PowerPoint briefs showing trend analysis and corrective action progress.
  • Maintain spreadsheets that track progress and capture history for various systems.
  • Work on emergent tasks and drive them to completion.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders regarding technical, logistics, and other fleet issues and coordinate resolutions.
  • Extract logistics, maintenance and operational data, conduct research and analysis, and provide reports of analyses to Deputy and Program Manager for PMS 32
  • Attend meetings, draft written reports, and provide recommendations.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Platform Sustainment task lead and/or HM&E Sustainment PAPMs/PSMs.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Education/Certification Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree plus 9 years relevant work experience. Educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 10 years applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.
  • Experience working with/at a maintenance planning activity (e.g. SURFMEPP, SUBMEPP, Carrier Planning Activity (CPA)).
  • Experience working in a surface ship engineering department and with surface ship HM&E systems.
Prior CHENG/LDO/Top Snipe preferred.- Experience with data mining and system/data analysis.

  • Prior Naval engineering and maintenance experience required.
