    Leap29 Financial Controller Position

    Leap29 are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join an established Community Solar company in the Northeast.

    The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations and asset management, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to support our growth and sustainability goals.


    Responsibilities:

    Financial Reporting & Analysis:

    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and insights to support decisionmaking.
    • Monitor and report on key financial metrics to senior management.
    • Prepare financial reporting for performance of community scale solar assets.

    Budgeting & Forecasting:

    • Develop and manage the company's annual budget and forecast.
    • Track budget performance and provide variance analysis
    • Work closely with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets.
    • Prepare budgets for solar project activities

    Cash Flow Management:

    • Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure the company's financial stability.
    • Forecast cash requirements and optimize cash management strategies.

    Compliance & Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial laws.
    • Implement and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
    • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for annual audits and filings.

    Financial Strategy & Planning:

    • Provide strategic financial guidance to support business and project growth and expansion.
    • Evaluate investment opportunities and ROI analysis for new projects.
    • Participate in strategic planning sessions and provide financial insights.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management for solar project delivery and/or asset management.

    Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations.

    Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.

    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
