Midtown is seeking a Business Analyst to join our world-class IT team at our Chicago headquarters (3611 N. Kedzie Ave). This is a hybrid role requiring two days on-site in the corporate office.

The Position

Our Business Analyst will help lead the digital transformation of our core applications and services.

As Midtown pursues a large undertaking over the next 2 to 4 years to transform all our technology platforms, we are looking for a self-starter to help organize and deliver the strategy of the business.

In this technical and business-facing role, you will be collaborating with numerous departments and teams to keep projects on time, within budget, and well-documented.

The Primary Responsibilities Are

Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.

Develop software sprint plans that merge vendor requirements with company goals and coordinate with various managers and technical personnel during all phases, from initial development through implementation.

Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide guidance, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
Review proposed modifications of system and software applications, including meeting with interested parties to approve and document all changes.

Creating a detailed business analysis to outline problems, opportunities, and solutions for our business taking into consideration Midtown's technical capabilities and potential.

Oversee documentation of resources and materials as needed before and during projects by talking with system vendors, IT members, and department managers.

Business Analyst Requirements

Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, or related field.
Proven 2+ years of experience as a business analyst.
2 years minimum experience in project management, and/or documenting system integrations/workflows.
Familiarity with software release methodologies; agile and waterfall.
Understanding software development concepts (API integration, data management, cloud computing / Azure or similar)
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Eager to work with multiple teams and projects at the same time.
