the position


You leverage the information available in the business to help leadership drive clarity on current performance and where we should be going based on the analysis of current KPIs and leading indicators.

You take high level business questions and make the critical connections to what the facts are to ensure the business runs on truths and insights from the individual salesperson level all the way up to the Board of Directors.

You also develop models to predict future performance in sales leveraging resource models, leading indicators, and initiative impacts to align expectations with financial models.

Then you take the results of those models to create the necessary OKRs, reports and requirements to track progress in achieving those expectations.


You also ensure that technical and operational performance, data integrity, and that operational business needs are met to run a sustainable business and data environment.

You focus on ways to implement process improvements for the benefit of Nitel.


your playbook

  • Work with business leaders in Sales, Customers Success, Finance, and Product organization to understand the business insights needed to drive the business and connect with available data to create informative analysis for action
  • Prepare information from available data into views such as tables, charts, and analytics to tell the story to various levels of leadership up through the Board of Directors
  • Develop a deep understanding of the available business data to identify possible analysis in trends, correlations and predictions
  • Develop and manage KPIs and OKRs with reporting that measure success and leading indicators of future success and create models for managing the breakout of objectives from senior leadership all the way down to individual targets for Sales and Customer success in sales, funnel, and other related OKRs
  • Work with partner organizations in IT, Finance and other groups to identify data improvements with an eye to the business value of information and recommend process improvements upstream to allow for better analysis and business insights to be performed
  • Evaluate business requests to determine feasibility, research and identify options and recommend solutions that best serve business needs based on the cost/benefit of various solutions.
  • Work with the data to improve quality through bulk and manual maintenance processes for data integrity and reliability creating automation where possible to reduce necessary manual updates
  • Analyze, resolve and document system changes needed as a result of defects, enhancements, incidents, missing requirements or other root causes that create data and therefore analysis issues.
  • Present information appropriately to various level of stakeholders
  • Perform additional related job duties as needed and assigned.

skills you bring to the field

  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT or related field strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of Business Analysis experience
  • Demonstrated success developing and presenting solutions to complex business situations leveraging available data with multiple analytical approaches to create the necessary insights
  • Excellent analytical, evaluation and critical thinking skills
  • Strong understanding of data and relationships between data sets
  • Familiarity with the telecommunications industry
  • High level understanding of Salesforce (preferred) or relational databases
  • Experience using one of the major CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and understanding of CRM concepts (opportunity, account, contact, quote, etc.)
  • Familiarity with quotetocash process and its elements: quotes, orders, work orders, line items, etc.
  • Good knowledge of business modeling terminology
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to translate adhoc analysis into requirements with clear definitions and then communicate for report development
  • Ability to collaborate, partner, and negotiate with peer organizations to accomplish goals
  • Customercentric approach; you have empathy for how external and internal customers are affected
