    Description


    Reporting to the VP, Operations, the Senior Director of FC Operations provides vision and leadership for continuous improvement through processes, selection, performance management, and people development across FC Operations.

    This role is boots on the ground and, while located remotely, will be traveling through all the FC regions.
    Key Result Areas
    Oversee and direct FC Operations to budget and key operational KPIs
    Lead FC Operations Leadership for East and West Coast in expansion and scaling through the creation of standard work to gain alignment with key partners, inclusive of group, division business, and operations management
    Coordinate with clients to understand operational opportunities and create operational plans to address them
    Mentor and coach critical operational and functional partners to drive solid execution of strategies to realize measurable improvements in performance and growth, including the creation of SOPs and standardization
    Collaborate with Sales and Safety to ensure an efficient workflow for optimum customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
    Partner with FC Operations leadership to manage overall facility maintenance of buildings and grounds
    Maintain facilities in compliance with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration and company policies, standards, and regulations
    Drives process optimization, best practice sharing, and company methodology to close performance gaps
    Teach and equip operational leaders with a clear frame to operate as business leaders.
    Analyze the P&L of the FCs and find opportunities to improve margins.
    Partner with HR, Tech, and Client Account Managers to optimize operations and strengthen services provided
    Builds strong teams with the right mix of skills, behavior, and backgrounds required to support current and future challenges
    Develop annual expense and capital budgets for Delivery and Warehouse operations. Monitor expenses monthly
    Skills and Qualifications
    BA/BS preferred Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Finance and Accounting
    7+ years of experience managing in a complex operations environment in the shipping or logistics industry
    Strategy execution experience within the end-to-end supply chain
    Experience in diverse, global operations leadership with multi-site responsibility
    Experienced in project management and cross-functional leadership in fulfillment, transportation, or manufacturing
    Proven experience scaling an org quickly and efficiently
    A get-it-done personality, with strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect across teams and functions and positively influence all levels of the organization, business units, cultures, and geographies
    Experience in strategy deployment, matrix development, value stream mapping, standard work, metrics boards, stand-up meetings
    A multidisciplinary problem solver who can look division-wide to integrate and optimize the operation
    Able to drive critical, strategic thought processes and continuous improvement in operational areas, including connecting across teams to remove waste along the extended value streams
    Passion for driving improvement and leading change in a sophisticated, global environment
    Strong Eye for Business, Financial literacy sufficient to understand Financial Statements, budgets, material, labor, overhead efficiency
    Lean Six Sigma Green Belt highly desired
    Ability to travel up to 50%
    Able to stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 20 pounds
