    Posting Summary:
    We are looking for a Safety Manager to join our Operations Team in Houston, TX.

    The Safety Manager is responsible for managing Company Safety policies and procedures in both manufacturing and distribution setting across multiple facilities in the U.S.

    Proactively applies knowledge of safety

    regulations/standards,

    leads the general health, safety and loss control initiative and knowledge of Company products and services.

    Responsibilities:
    Possess a thorough understanding of local/regional and federal safety regulations and company policy.
    ·


    Develop and implement the company's formal Safety Program, to include a formally written plan and policies that are updated based on company needs.

    ·

    Delivers training and coaching to establish clear understanding by all Team Members on safety expectations.
    ·

    Manages Safety Committee initiatives across all locations.
    Investigates, analyzes, and evaluates incident reports and complaints involving work-related injuries and illness:

    Prepares reports noting hazards, violations, and accidents.
    Recommends measures to prevent recurrence.

    • Track, report, benchmark, and trend safety data:o
    Conduct root cause and other analysis to reduce incidents.
    o

    Establish metrics and report results to management monthly.
    o

    Provide appropriate feedback and results to senior management.

    Disseminates information to department heads and others regarding toxic substances, hazards, carcinogens, and other safety information.
    ·


    Communicate with Vendors to coordinate the purchase and/or rental of all first aid supplies and equipment such as fire extinguishers and any required equipment for compliance.

    Manages Workers' Compensation across all locations.



    Qualifications:
    ·

    Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related technical field or equivalent work.
    ·

    A minimum of 5 years experience implementing Safety Programs in a Manufacturing environment.
    ·


    Ability to travel 25% of the time to facilities and retail centers in the U.S (Houston, Skokie, Greer, and Vegas).

    ·

    Professional Certification (Certified Safety Professional, or Certified Industrial Hygienist) or ability to obtain within one year.
    ·

    Experience using Safety Management Systems
    ·

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Software.
    Strong verbal and written communication skills
    High level of comfort developing and delivering training and motivational presentations to all levels of associates
    ·

    Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills.
    ·

    Must be able to fluently read, write and speak in English.
    Preferred

    Qualifications:
    ·

    Bilingual in Spanish
