We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regional Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager who will be responsible for ensuring that our precast manufacturing plants operate in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.

This role involves managing all aspects of safety including the implementation and maintenance of safety protocols and procedures.

The HSE Manager will collaborate closely with the Head of Design and other leadership roles to ensure our operations meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements.


Key Results Area #- Comprehensive HSE Policies and Procedures:

  • Successful Result
  • Established and implemented robust HSE policies and procedures ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives enhancing overall HSE processes. _
  • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace. Work with the Head of Design and other leadership to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in the HSE process.

Key Results Area #- Team Management and Performance:

  • Successful Result
  • A highly motivated and effective HSE team achieving performance goals and continuous improvement initiatives. _
  • Manage the HSE team, including setting performance goals, providing coaching and guidance, and evaluating team members' performance.
  • Hold onetoone meetings with each direct report at least monthly & as needed.
Recruit, select, hire, onboard, and train new members


Key Results Area #- Safety Inspections and Audits:

  • Successful Result
  • Maintained plant certifications through continuous monitoring and improvement of HSE performance. Proactive identification of potential hazards, maintaining high safety standards. _
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and assess compliance with safety protocols.


Monitor and report on HSE performance, including tracking and analyzing metrics such as incident rates and quality defects to maintain plant certifications.


Key Results Area #- Strategic Guidance and Direction:

  • Contributed to shaping the company's HSE strategy and fostering a strong safety culture and providing expertise, guidance, and data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement in HSE practices. _
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the organization and play a key role in influencing the company's overall HSE strategy and culture.
  • Collaborate with Leadership to set HSE goals and objectives and develop and implement strategies to achieve them.

Key Results Area #- Documentation and Stakeholder Relations:

  • Successful Result
  • Maintained detailed documentation and strong stakeholder relationships ensuring quality standards. _
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all HSE activities, including records of inspections, audits, training, and corrective actions. Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders to ensure that quality standards are consistently met.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, safety, or a related field.
  • Ability to travel as needed for site visits, meetings, and training.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience with at least 3 years in a HSE leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HSE policies and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and standards, including OSHA and other relevant guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools. ACI and/or PQS Certifications plus.
