    Description

    Position Summary :

    ACD's operations are funded through two avenues, dues paid by the members and non-dues revenue created through programs, events and other services.

    The non-dues revenue makes up more than 50% of our income. The Coordinator, Business Development will support the growth of these non-dues funds. This position will report to the Senior Director, Membership and work closely with the multiple departments at the Alliance.

    The coordinator will dedicate a significant amount of their time supporting acquisition and retention of members through assistance in prospecting, meeting preparation, and database management.


    Duties will include:
    Manage and maintain the prospect database for potential members and sponsorship opportunities.

    Assist with all aspects of prospect management including researching contacts, preparing background summaries for staff, assist with call scheduling and identifying new targets.

    Collaborate with the Communications Team on outreach to prospects to include pulling reports, and email campaigns for both member and sponsor prospects.

    Collaborate with Communications and Operations teams to develop PowerPoint and other relevant collateral for presentations and meetings
    Assist in tracking sponsorship fulfillment and assist with developing and implementing new marketing strategies for new opportunities
    Collaborate with Finance team on all membership/sponsorship invoicing and outstanding membership, sponsorship and exhibitor invoices.
    The ideal candidate will possess the following traits or qualifications :
    Strong, clear, concise oral and written communication skills
    Self-starter with marketing or business internship experience
    Solid problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and time management skills
    Proven track record of responsibility and dependability
    Knowledge of and/or experience with sales and business development principles preferred
    Experience with CRM Software, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred
    Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
    Bachelors degree preferred
    This position is in Arlington, VA in a hybrid in-office/WFH environment.
