    Description
    A Japanese Construction Company is seeking Information System Manager at their Houston Office.

    Information System Manager is responsible for coordinating, planning, and leading computer‐related activities in an organization.

    This position determines the IT needs of an organization and is responsible for implementing computer systems to fulfill the organization's information systems requirements.

    This position will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of critical business applications, with a specific focus on SAP (or other equivalent ERP experiences).

    【Essential Duties】
    Manage all information technology and computer systems.
    Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
    Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures.
    Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
    Coordinate with other Global IT teams (Mainly teams in Japan and in Germany) and team members.
    Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software.
    Track and maintain hardware and software inventory.
    Assist with Financial/IT audit as necessary.
    Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
    Create and manage IT budgets, ensuring cost‐effective solutions.
    Evaluate and recommend technology investments to enhance efficiency and productivity.
    Collaborate with external vendors, negotiate contracts, and evaluate service levels.
    Liaise with business stakeholders to understand their technology needs and align IT services accordingly.
    Implement and enforce security policies, protocols, and best practices.
    Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, NIST) and regulatory requirements.
    Be available on 24/7 level to make sure business runs smoothly, without suspension.

    Evaluate, Implement, and Improve applications based on the company needs*.

    Application Support:
    Incident Handling and Resolution
    User Training and Documentation
    Application Implementation and Maintenance

    SAP(ERP) Management:
    Customization and Configuration
    Integration and Upgrades
    SAP Security and Compliance
    End‐User Support

    Stakeholder Collaboration:
    Work closely with business units to understand their application needs.
    Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
    Liaise with external vendors and internal IT teams.

    Continuous Improvement:
    Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
    Propose enhancements to existing applications and SAP systems.
    Stay informed about SAP updates and industry trends.

    $120-140k plus Bonus

    【Qualifications】
    Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    5+ years of work experience as an IT Manager required. Professional Certifications desired.
    Proven experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
    Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems.
    Experience with VMware, Azure AD, Networking, Google Workspace, M365 Admin Center, Apple Business Manager required.
    Experience with Starship, SAP (FICO, MM, SD, CS) SAP Work Manager, RingCentral, Unifi products, Salesforce a plus.


    SPECIAL JOB CHARACTERISTICS:
    Japanese speaker at a business level preferred.

    Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

    Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
    Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
    Experience with Accounting systems and accounting background a plus.


    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
    Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations facilities.
