    Project Accountant/Bookeeper:

    NYC based real estate developer of suburban residential properties seeks an experienced bookeeper/accountant to facilitate the day to day accounting for the companies construction projects commencing in the fall of 2024.

    We will be using the ECI/Marks Systems, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) and information management application designed specifically for homebuilders and property developers. It is a comprehensive software solution that helps manage all phases of new home construction. You will be provided with comprehensive training on the system in your initial 8 weeks of employment.

    Day to day operations

    Track all required compliance documents and ensure documentation is fully executed and approved.

    • Enter contracts, change orders, and invoices into project / account management software
    • Maintain clean tracking of project expenditures through accounting system
    • Monitor daily/weekly cash flow
    • Process payments and payrolls
    • Bank Reconciliations
    • Effectively manage, communicate, and coordinate vendor invoicing and payment policies
    • Assist with the pre-qualification and re-qualification of vendors by managing and maintaining required documentation that is complete, accurate, and up to date prior to submission
    • Complete special projects as assigned
    • Maintain vendor certificates of insurance and ensure endorsements are current and up to date
    • Communicate with vendors and consultants on invoice queries
    • Credit Card Reconciliations
    • Qualifications:

    Experience dealing with construction contractor / subcontractor invoices / requisitions

    5-8 years related / relevant experience

    Detail oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
