We are currently seeking an experienced_Construction Project Accountant _to join our team in our
Manhattan, NY 10018 location.
Who We Are:
What you'll do:
- Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned_
- Reports directly to CFO and VP of Finance
- Responsible for the review, verification and processing of all subcontractor and general condition related payments associated with assigned projects
- Liaise with project team to ensure timely and accurate submission of construction billings on multiple projects
- Communicates with project team, vendors, subcontractors and external parties to manage job cost requests/requirements, including waivers of lien, insurance, certified payrolls and any additional contractually required documents necessary to invoice clients or pay vendors
- Responsible for accounts receivable tracking, management, and reporting for assigned projects
- Preparation of project cash flow forecasts
- Interface with project team and senior management on all aspects of project construction accounting
- Research internal issues and make suggestions to solution, where necessary
- Other duties to assist the accounting team
_ Education and Experience:
_
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar
_is required_: - 3+ years accounting experience in the construction industry
Required Abilities and Skills:
_**- Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in team environment and independently; self starter
- Must be a team player
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
- Knowledge of ComputerEase a plus
- Flexibility to work overtime, as needed
Job Type:
Full-time in office. No remote work.
Company Offers:
- Pay: $70,000$85,000 annually based on experience and education
