SUMMARY OF POSITION
Kinsley is seeking a driven Project Accountant to join our Industrial team based in the York, PA Office.
The Project Accountant will be responsible for invoicing and payment processing, job cost comparison, compliance tracking, and change order preparation.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepare and submit invoices billings.
- Communicate with Project Managers to keep accounts receivables current on projects.
- Review, prepare, and update AP unapproved invoices daily.
- Scan and enter invoices from subcontractors into Viewpoint.
- Analyze projects alongside Project Managers to prepare for financial closing.
- Review material tickets that are received from the field to ensure the accuracy of coding.
- Directly assist project management teams with any duties required to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Prepare owner and subcontractor change orders.
- Process and submit weekly certified payroll reports for prevailing wage projects.
- Report directly to the Vice President of Industrial and indirectly to the Divisional Accounting Manager
- Perform other related duties as required_._
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Prior Accounting experience and a 24year postsecondary degree is preferred but not required.
- Prior experience utilizing Vista/Viewpoint construction accounting software is preferred but not required.
- Strong organization, oral, and written communication skills
- Computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office is required.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills
- Ability to work with all personnel within the organization and facilitate communication effectively.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to be a team player, flexible, and able to work in fastpaced and changing environment.
