We are seeking an experienced Facilities Process Gas Delivery Systems Engineers to be part of the design, construction, commissioning, and sustaining operations for our new advanced manufacturing Fab and existing technology development fab in Boise, ID.
The Gas Services Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., is responsible for working in a team environment with parallel engineering fields, to analyze operational efficiency activities, identify cost effective sustaining and manufacturing improvements and provide design input on projects.
Will provide engineering design input, operations, maintenance of all gas delivery systems including liquid source systems.This position works directly with the operations team technicians and TGCM outsourced services team supervising systems parameters via intelligent systems such as SPC/IOT and SCADA, ensuring they are running within specifications.
This posting requires a hard work ethic and diligent attention to detail.The Facilities Gas Systems Engineer must have the pertinent communication skills that enable the coordination with other system owners, maintenance crews and construction trades to drive projects and daily tasks.
Will be responsible for working with the vendors to develop operations and maintenance documentation, collaborate with vendors providing services, engineering for projects and changes and ensuring systems are operating within specifications.
Provides design engineering support for existing system modification, upgrades and new equipment installations. Must be able to drive innovative solutions timproveze efficiency within an extremely fast paced work environment.Engineering support and oversite of Design, Construction, Commissioning of Mechanical systems including:
Review of vendor provided design drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy Review of equipment configuration and distribution routing of systems relative to functionality, egress, ease of maintenance requirements, constructability, alignment with P&ID's, etc.
Validation of engineering calculations Review and approval of equipment and component submittals in coordination with O&M staff Review and validation of construction RFI responses Review and approval of shop drawings and construction models Field engineering QA during construction Commissioning support Entry of system information into a capacity planning software Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Communication & Collaboration:
Collaborates with global teams and partners to resolve equipment/process issues and improve system stability Attends and participates in meetings and provides relevant technical input Partners in data collection, gap analysis, and improvement implementation Proactively communicates issues that could cause Fab impact, defects, tool restrictions, or lost moves Coordinates with stakeholders and leaders on issues and changes, and provides regular status updates Benchmarks with Global Peers on standards, guidelines, BKM, system transfers, as well as collaboration on alignment and data sharing for Bulk and
Specialty Gas Systems Qualifications:

Minimum Relevant Bachelors degree or experience; Chemical, or related field of study
Required:
Three or more years of relative experience Preferred: Masters degree in engineering and/or your discipline specific Professional Engineer certification Preferred: Three or more years of Facilities/Plant Operations experience in semiconductor manufacturing
