As theDirector of Account Management , you will serve as the strategic leader of the nationwide Account Manager team.
Director of Account Management – Your Job Duties
You will directly manage and oversee a team of commercial insurance Account Managers, including direct supervision of division team leads and indirect supervision of over 30 team members (and growing).
Team ManagementManagement, mentorship, training, performance evaluations, coaching and quality control for the Account Management team, serving as escalation point
Primary responsibility for hiring and ongoing talent metrics (maintaining or improving Account Manager retention, leading the hiring process)
Oversight of workflow assignments, capacity planning and capacity building
Strategy
Analyze current processes (including client renewal processes, client satisfaction, quality assurance, training and other key processes), identifying areas for improvement that will increase client satisfaction, improve team efficiency, team performance and cohesion
Improve and reinforce alignment between Sales / Production team and Account Management team, collaborating closely with Director of Sales
Collaborate with leadership team to identify, evaluate and implement strategies that improve company operations and support company growth goals
Director of Account Management - Required Skills, Experience & Culture Fit
You have:
Prior experience working in the commercial insurance industry
Experience leading and managing a team – you enjoy working with others to remove obstacles to their success, mentoring and driving excellence
Passion and excitement to bring process improvements – we are challenging the status quo and want your ideas and for your voice to be heard
Director of Account Management – You Might Have (Desired, Not Required)
Familiarity with Applied Epic software
Experience with commercial agriculture, crop or farming insurance
Certified Insurance Counselor certification
Bachelor's degree in business, risk management, management or related
Compensation $160,000 to $180,000, salaried plus annual incentive compensation. Anticipated OTE $200,000.
