Description
The Project Architect plays a key role in supporting MHTN's core values (Design, Social & Environmental Responsibility, Teamwork, Technical Excellence, Empowerment, Respect, and Service) as they guide projects through all phases of the design process. Design teams work collaboratively to ensure exceptional quality and service to clients during schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and into construction administration. A Project Architect will have a well-rounded career as we value holistic design practices at all stages of a project's life cycle. They will participate in charrettes with stakeholders, parti's and pin-ups with team members, and help to tell design stories that will continuously inform new project design innovations.
The Project Architect is crucial in promoting socially and environmentally responsible design practices through respectful and informed discussions with clients. They will be expected to make informed decisions in evaluation, selection, and use of standard architectural techniques and problem solving while working within budget and schedule to meet project scope. They organize project and document production in collaboration with the Project Manager and will provide guidance on building and accessibility codes and regulatory standards. A firm understanding of engineering systems, equipment, technology requirements and detailing, and how they relate to construction is essential. We require an architect with a valid license for this role.
The Project Architect engages in professional development efforts through mentoring and participation in MHTN paid continuing education opportunities.
