Provider Quality Program Manager - Chicago, United States - Boundlessfellows

    Default job background
    Description

At Carrum, we live and breathe the mission of transforming the healthcare system to create an unmatched experience for patients.

If you are passionate about changing healthcare and want to finally get rid of surprise bills, poor quality, and high prices, while thriving in an entrepreneurial, cutting-edge environment, we would love to connect with you.

In 2014 Carrum reinvented the Center of Excellence (CoE) category in digital health. We are the only company in this space with a digital platform and mobile app powering this novel marketplace.

Today, most of the US population lives within at most a 2-3 hour driving distance of a Carrum CoE and our providers rank in the top 10% nationally.

Our team's execution has been recognized by the venture community and we've raised almost $100M in aggregate from investors like OMERS, Tiger Global Management and Wildcat Ventures.

Our impact has been externally proven in a 2021

    RAND Corporation study

    and featured as a

Harvard Business School (HBS) case study .

We are looking for a Provider Quality Program Manager to join the growing Provider Quality team.

The Provider Quality team identifies, evaluates, certifies and maintains the highest-quality facilities and individual surgeons using a proprietary quality evaluation methodology.

The Provider Quality Program Manager will play a critical role in both maintaining our existing network of providers and CoEs as well as scaling our network to meet the needs of our rapidly growing employer customers.

Reporting to the Quality Director, you will be at the industry's cutting edge on quality, appropriateness and patient outcomes.

You get to see how the best providers in the country perform – and pick and choose the best of the best surgeons and physicians for our network.

You will own provider recertifications and be crucial in day-to-day operations to help ensure that our members receive the highest quality care.

You'll also be responsible for post-operative complication monitoring. You've hustled, you've created, you've implemented, and you love the intensity of a startup in high-growth mode.

This is a full time position with the opportunity to work remotely. Carrum has offices in Chicago and San Francisco that are available on an optional basis.

The salary range for this role is $75k – $100k (depending on geography and level of experience), plus an annual bonus.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

"Crunch the numbers" on some of the most well-known provider brands in the country, supporting our Quality Committee in making certification decisions

Maintain the high quality bar of our existing CoEs through annual provider recertifications and post-operative complication tracking & monitoring

Keep track of advances in the field to ensure our quality metrics and processes are up-to-date and remain at the forefront of industry

Regularly collaborate with the provider business development and account management, clinical, and data science teams to maintain and expand our best in class network

Work with vendors and external stakeholders to ensure our network continually meets and exceeds Carrum requirements and objectives

Leverage your background in clinical quality in a fast-paced environment with real-world impact on our CoE network and patient care

Participate in provider-facing meetings and on-site evaluations to understand care processes and determine fit for Carrum COE network

Collaborate with prospective CoEs to enable them to complete and submit the quality evaluation in a timely and complete fashion

    We're excited about you because...

Bring a rich background of clinical quality and are familiar with QI frameworks and tools

Have 5 years of healthcare experience, ideally in tracking and improving clinical quality outcomes in orthopedic, spine, bariatric surgery, oncology, women's health, and/or substance use

Love data, are fluent in healthcare billing and coding, and have intermediate to advanced skills with Excel/GSheets and data analysis; coding language knowledge or CPC status is a bonus

Have experience with ensuring health systems and providers deliver appropriate and equitable care to all patients

Are able to communicate appropriately with physician stakeholders including robust delivery of feedback

Have deep knowledge of data reporting and regulatory/accreditation requirements, quality data, metrics, and reporting for surgeons, hospitals/health systems, and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs)

Are entrepreneurial and resourceful — As an early member of a startup, we need people who can find creative ways to make a big impact quickly and without much direction

Have experience handling deadlines, keeping many balls in the air, and prioritizing work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, dynamic environment

Why you'll love working with us...

We're a hard-working, humble, and compassionate group motivated to solve the hard problems in healthcare today. You'll work with talented, experienced co-workers from companies like Booz & Company, Livongo, 98point6, Google, and Optum.

We believe in using data to inform decisions, technology to make our jobs easier, and creative thinking to pave the future.

We are working with some of the most recognized and esteemed names in the country.

Top hospitals like Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Stanford Health Care or Rush Health have joined our platform.

Employers who use our benefit include Walgreens, US Foods, United Airlines, and large public sector organizations like the self-insured schools of California, and the State of Maine.

We empower team members to be autonomous and provide a collaborative environment where you get support and healthy feedback. You can bring your authentic self to work every day and are encouraged to help others do the same.

We carve out time to let go of work to celebrate our successes and have fun.

We're all working remotely right now, but prior to the pandemic a few of the monthly activities we enjoyed included group dinners, bowling, and hiking.

Now we bring the fun online with holiday costume contests, arts and crafts activities, musical events, weekly meditations, and gratitude sessions.

You'll feel proud that the work you do each day directly impacts people's lives in big and meaningful ways.

    Other benefits:
    Stock option plan

    Flexible schedules and remote work

Chicago and San Francisco offices available

    Self-managed vacation days, within reason

    Paid parental leave

    Health, vision, and dental insurance

    401K retirement plan
